Interesting that I came across your article because today, I have been softly enquiring to my sciatica pain - « what are you trying to tell me ? » and she has been screaming … « I need more support! … Enough of too much!! Enough ».
Oh this is such a powerful exercise!! Our bodies really do tell us what they need when we make the time to tune in and listen! I've also dealt with siactica (the worst)— mine often tells me it's afraid.
I love the idea of “accidental wisdom”, like there are things that have the potential to turn into lessons everyday but we speed past them so quickly. maybe we should all listen a bit more and actually focus enough to learn those lessons🩷
This series has been such an eye opening exercise for me! I laser in on them now as they happen in a way I never have before. Thank you for being here! 💕💫
Hi Shannon, i’m hooked to your series. Can’t wait for your next one. Love the soft and compassionate energy of your writing. Resonates deeply with the writing i’ve been doing as well. Would love for you to take a look at mine too ❤️
Pia! Thank you so much!!! Yes I booked marked a few of your pieces already to dig into later this eve! I did feel a similar energy in the little bit I read! Looking forward to more!!!
I can't believe how often I neglect to check in with my breath! It seems so obvious, but its so powerful! Thanks for being here! You know I appreciate you. 💕
Staring at the sea gives me solution to random challenges in my head. No worning, nothing, just bam and i have an answer for a thing that was not on my mind at the moment :D too bad i am not living by the sea. So many things would have been resolved on their own :)
Love this especially as someone just learning about somatic therapy. And my body told me this week “I’m still not healed.” Gotta take it easy with the workouts this week 😌
This was soft and profound. The body as teacher, each ache a message—it’s such a beautiful reminder to slow down and listen. That line “strength is measured in what you lay down” really stayed with me. Quiet wisdom, perfectly named.
I love this. I am in the season of learning to better listen to my body and what it needs and when it needs. I’m not perfect at it, but I’m getting better. It’s indeed true that the body keeps the score.
I feel like each sentiment got deeper as it got to the bottom. At the core, our heart knows what it beats for yet it gets crowded when we carry too much; and we forget our devotion to simply breathe. What I love about this piece is the simplicity of stating what is true. It’s not busy crafting at high level functionality. You’re not proving a point, you are simply sharing your heart beats. It’s basic truths that we all do and live with if we pay attention to our body.
It’s been one of the most powerful exercises I’ve ever done! This series has really made me aware of how much we learn about ourselves all of the time when we decide to pay attention 🔆💕
This is just so true ✨ I’m glad I stumbled upon your work as I feel it’s a great practice and challenge to upkeep and do more for myself. This is reminding me of the intention in the book The Power of Unwavering Focus where there is intention and obedience to devote ourselves to living a life of focus.
It would be a post just like this, but instead of me writing them, each lesson will come from someone on Substack who submitted one (with links and credit of course). I'll probably announce it this coming Sunday!
I’d love to see yours too! I’m actually considering doing a community one soon. I’ve had a lot of people email me their learnings from their own weeks! I’d love to include one from you if you uncover one!!!
This was a very profound, powerful and painful week all in one. I’m hoping I’ll be able to be more present and contribute as it feels like such a nice community collaboration idea. I’ll keep a look out for your announcement on Sunday ☺️
Hmm this could be a cute and sweet community.. do you have ideas on where the community could exist? I’d be open to learn more and submit a reflection of what gets found ☺️

Devotion is the body's way of remembering.. this resonate with what I've been experiencing
I sometimes forget to really thank an honor my body and the spirit behind it all. But trying to get better about that!!!
Oh wow, oh wow, oh wow! This one was so beautiful, it brought tears to my eyes!
Also took a deep breath and discovered the one about breath checks out.
I can't believe how often I neglect to check in with my breath! It seems so obvious, but its so powerful! Thanks for being here! You know I appreciate you. 💕
I agree! It definitely helps to have reminders. And you're welcome - I appreciate you so much too! <3

The anatomy of wisdom 🧘♀️🍵
Oh I wish I would have thought of this for the title of this piece! So good!!!

Oh to live by the sea! It really does heal all 💕 thanks for being her Diana!

Yes!!! I’ve been becoming much more gentle with my workouts as I’m getting older. Taking it easy is just as important as getting after it 😉

I’m learning to listen to my body more and more. It’s so easy to ignore it (at least for me). Thanks for being here Ana 💕

It sure does!! Thank you for reading and commenting Janeica 🔆💕
